SUMMARY:Guardrail 101 - New Standards\, Crash Testing\, and Installation
DESCRIPTION:We all know that guardrail can be installed incorrectly\, and\, as a result\, can seriously injure the users of our roadways.  In an effort to make guardrail installations and technology more consistent and up to date with today’s vehicle fleet\, the Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware (MASH) was developed by the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO).  MASH is the new standard for roadside hardware.  This presentation will outline the changes that MASH introduced\, some of the new guardrail hardware that meets these new requirements\, as well as some common installation errors and how to fix them. \nRegister at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/guardrail-tickets-106390587110

SUMMARY:Chainsaw Safety
DESCRIPTION:Chainsaws are widely used throughout the world.  They’re used in wide variety of industries such as commercial\, residential\, arborist\, road maintenance\, property maintenance\, ground operations\, and bucket truck operations.  Chainsaws can be very useful\, but it important to remember they can also be very dangerous.  Every year\, numerous chainsaw operators and bystanders are seriously injured and killed due to chainsaw accidents.  A large majority of these statistics could have been prevented by learning and practicing proper chainsaw safety.  During this presentation\, we will discuss chainsaw maintenance procedures\, how to select and properly use personal protective equipment\, and how to safely operate the chainsaw to reduce the risk of injury. \nRegister at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/chainsaw-safety-training-tickets-111806843278
