SUMMARY:Autodesk Civil 3D Fundamentals
DESCRIPTION:This hybrid online class will combine both live instruction and independent online work that you will complete during the day.  Independent work will include quizzes\, readings\, videos and short assignments.  Access to a computer with a webcam (either a camera that is built into your laptop or one that connects via USB)\, a reliable internet connection and a workspace that is free from distraction and noise will set you up for success. \nThis 2-day class provides an introduction to the software and can be a refresher for those already familiar with its capabilities. Based on real-world examples\, students have the opportunity to use Autodesk Civil 3D on a land development project\, starting with basic surveying and including all other major components such as surfaces\, parcels and sites\, roadway design\, grading\, utilities\, and plotted sheets. \nYou will need your own PC laptop with a minimum of 8 Gb RAM. DESCRIPTION:Motorists\, pedestrians\, and bicyclists face greater mobility challenges and safety risks at intersections as traffic volumes grow and congestion worsens. Agencies need safer\, more balanced designs that keep people moving. Innovative intersection designs offer many safety and operational benefits\, and are being built more often because they can deliver more for less. In the case of U-Turn-based intersection designs\, certain movements that are higher risk – such as direct left-turns – are modified to a combination of right-turns and U-turns.
