This course, which is presented as a two-part webinar series, is provided through the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA). This multi-faceted program is supported by the Department of Labor and provides training to help protect workers against falls, especially in roadway construction. Falls are the second-leading cause of death in the transportation construction industry, behind runovers and backovers.

The course includes discussion and information about: horizontal life lines; swing fall hazards; anchorage points; fall prevention ensemble components and selection; self-retracting lifelines; aerial work platforms; rescue and suspension trauma; mounting and dismounting equipment; and walking and working surfaces.
